Paul Tierney to Step Down; Randy Nixon Appointed Interim U.S. President

Janes, the source for validated foundational military intelligence, today announced that Paul Tierney will step down from his role as President of its U.S. business, effective February 27, 2026, to pursue an external opportunity. Randy Nixon, the company’s Chief Customer Officer has been appointed Interim U.S. President and will serve in a dual capacity until the permanent successor is named.

“Paul has made a significant contribution to our U.S. business, expanding partnerships that allow us to further integrate Janes data into critical systems for our customers and refining operations to scale for growth. I want to personally thank him for his leadership and wish him continued success as he begins his next chapter,” said Blake Bartlett, Janes Chief Executive Officer.

“I am confident that Randy will continue our momentum during the transition,” Bartlett continued. “As former Director of the CIA’s Open Source Enterprise and now our Chief Customer Officer, he brings unmatched mission expertise and a strong commitment to serving our defense and national security customers.”

“I’ve devoted my entire adult life to the nation and its mission partners,” said Nixon. “I’m honored to take on this expanded role and look forward to working even more closely with our teams as we continue our mission to inform defense and national security through validated intelligence.”
