Randy Nixon, former Director of CIA Open Source Enterprise, joins Janes as Chief Customer Officer
Janes, the global leader in foundational military intelligence, today announced the appointment of Randy Nixon as Chief Customer Officer. In this newly created role, Nixon will spearhead Janes customer-centric strategy, ensuring that customer needs are at the core of product innovation, service delivery, and strategic partnerships.
Nixon brings decades of intelligence leadership experience, most recently serving as Director of the CIA’s Open Source Enterprise (OSE), where he oversaw the collection, analysis and dissemination of open-source intelligence in support of US National Security. His tenure at OSE was marked by transformation initiatives that enhanced the accessibility, integration and operational impact of open-source data for intelligence and defence communities. “Janes has been a trusted name in defence intelligence for more than a century,” said Nixon. “I’m honoured to join a team so deeply committed to delivering mission-enabling data and insights. As Chief Customer Officer, Nixon will lead Janes global customer engagement strategy working across business units to deepen relationships with defence, intelligence and government partners worldwide. His focus will include enhancing customer feedback loops, aligning solutions to evolving operational requirements and ensuring Janes remains the benchmark for accuracy, reliability and relevance in defence intelligence.
