Turkish engineering company Titra unveiled the Alpin 2 rotary-wing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on the second day of the International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF) 2025, held in Istanbul from 22 to 27 July. The new system follows the Alpin, Türkiyeʼs first rotary-wing cargo UAV.

Titra is offering the Alpin 2 as a solution for military and civilian missions with a payload capacity of 200 kg. The system has a maximum payload capacity of 550 kg, with a maximum speed over 200 km/h and a cruising speed of 107 km/h, powered by a 175 litre, 140 hp gasoline engine. Its endurance is based on its payload – over two hours with 150 kg, over five hours with 100 kg, and over seven hours with 60 kg.

Mission payloads include cargo carried by a hook and crane under the rotary-wing UAV; a search-and-rescue radar; weapon systems including laser-guided missiles and a light machine gun; electronic warfare, light detection and ranging (LIDAR) localisation; communication relay systems; an advanced identification system; and electro-optic/infrared cameras. The Alpin 2 unveiled at IDEF 2025 had two pylons above its left skid, each with two quadrotor UAVs attached.

Military missions include logistics; intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR); border security; and communications relay.

A Titra representative told Janes on 23 July that the latter would involve the rotary-wing UAV hovering over a hill or mountain that would otherwise block communications. The Alpin 2 has a maximum endurance of over nine hours.

The Alpin 2 has a control radius of 200 km and a service ceiling of 6,400 m.
