Red Cat Holdings has secured a fresh order from an Asia-Pacific defence customer for its Black Widow small unmanned aircraft system (sUAS).

A media statement sent to Janes during Singapore Airshow 2026 said the unnamed customer chose the system through a competitive tender in December 2025, with deliveries scheduled throughout 2026.

The company did not disclose the quantity ordered but indicated that more details on this will be released in due course.

The Black Widow is Red Cat's flagship tactical sUAS designed for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions.

It features a compact, rugged airframe and a secure communications architecture

Each Black Widow system comprises two aircraft, a ground control station, and associated mission equipment.

In its media statement, Red Cat chief executive Jeff Thompson said the order reflected growing regional demand for secure, US-built unmanned systems capable of operating in contested environments.

“As geopolitical dynamics shift, we see accelerating demand for autonomous, interoperable technologies that enhance allied operational readiness,” he added.
