The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) has embarked on efforts to operationalise the Elbit Systems Hermes 900 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) amid ongoing deliveries.

Speaking to Janes at Singapore Airshow 2026, an RSAF personnel confirmed that the service began taking delivery of the Hermes 900 system in late 2025 to replace its fleet of older Hermes 450 UAVs that have been in service for more than 20 years.

Delivery of subsequent Hermes 900 units is ongoing, although further details on these, including unit numbers, cannot be revealed.

One of these Hermes 900 UAVs is on display at Singapore Airshow 2026, marking the system's public debut in the country.

The RSAF first disclosed in November 2025 that it has acquired the Hermes 900 UAV system.

“Through robust and thorough evaluations, the [Hermes 900] UAV was assessed to best meet the SAF's [Singapore Armed Forces'] operational needs. Singapore joins a list of countries around the world that operate this advanced system for military and civil uses,” the RSAF said in its statement then.

According to information provided by the RSAF at Singapore Airshow 2026, the Hermes 900 UAV has a cruise speed of 60–70 kt, a maximum range of more than 300 km, and an endurance of up to 36 hours.

It is powered by a Rotax 914 engine, driving a pusher propeller, and its payload options include electro‑optical and infrared sensors, a laser designator, and satellite communication equipment for extended‑range operations.
