The UK is planning to supply Ukraine with 100,000 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) by the end of April 2026, the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) said in a 4 June press release.

Tens of thousands of UAVs have already been delivered this year as part of the UK's GBP350 million (USD473.8 million) investment into unmanned systems for Ukraine, as per the release. Ukrainian units have already said that UAVs delivered by the UK helped to stabilise parts of the front line by driving back Russian attacks, according to the MoD. Last year, the UK delivered more than 10,000 drones to Ukraine. The UAV investment for Ukraine is part of the UK's broader GBP4.5 billion military aid package for the country.

Many of the UAVs built in the UK and delivered to Ukraine include first-person view (FPV) UAVs for precision attacks, interceptor UAVs for boosting air defences, and new fibre-optic UAVs able to operate despite Russian electronic warfare (EW) use, said the MoD.

The UK is leading, alongside Latvia, a group called the Drone Coalition, which was set up in February 2024 to support Ukraine with UAVs and components produced by the industry of Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) countries. In January 2025 it was announced that the group would send Ukraine 30,000 UAVs over the course of the following six months.

According to a 4 June release, the UK has been providing “low-cost” UAVs and FPV UAVs to Ukraine; the two types of systems are “reported to be responsible for 60–70% of damage currently caused to Russian equipment”.
