The Dutch Ministry of Defence (MoD) has ordered more Dutch Expeditionary Patrol Vehicles (DXPVs), unarmoured versions of the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) known as ‘Kaaiman', Oshkosh announced in a press release on 13 January. The company valued the order at USD25–30 million.
Oshkosh said the order includes two DXPV training kits, in addition to more DXPVs, to support the MoD's readiness initiatives, allowing Dutch soldiers to begin training immediately “for seamless transition and sustained operational capability”.
The Dutch MoD ordered 150 DXPVs for the Korps Mariniers (Royal Netherlands Marine Corps: RNLMC) from Oshkosh on 25 June 2025, with deliveries scheduled for 2028. A Dutch MoD spokesperson told Janes on 1 July 2025 that the total value of the contract was EUR150–200 million (USD174.8–233 million). Oshkosh Defense said in a 25 June press release that the DXPV will enhance the mobility, survivability, and effectiveness of the Mariniers, providing mission readiness in both joint and allied operations.
Both the Dutch MoD and Oshkosh declined to specify the number of additional DXPVs ordered or when they would be delivered.
