Eurosatory 2024: Arquus presents Drailer UGV

Arquus unveiled its Drailer unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) during the Eurosatory 2024 defence exhibition held in Paris from 17 to 21 June.
As the name is intended to suggest, the Drailer is a combination of a drone and a trailer in that it can be towed by another vehicle to its area of operations and then operated remotely as a UGV.
It is a 4×4 vehicle topped with a flat platform measuring 2.45 m long and 1.6 m wide. This platform can be used to carry a range of payloads weighing up to 700 kg, with the version at Eurosatory shown carrying a Hornet remotely operated weapon system (ROWS) armed with a single M2 12.7 mm heavy machine gun (HMG) and a sensor package comprising a daylight camera with continuous zoom, an uncooled thermal imager, and an eye-safe laser rangefinder. However, Arquus also said the vehicle could be used for other purposes including logistics, casualty evacuation, and mine clearance.
