Hyderabad‑based combat simulator specialist Zen Technologies is repositioning itself beyond training systems, expanding its defence portfolio through new product development and targeted acquisitions.
As part of this push, the company is developing new systems and upgrading existing products with the intent to offer increasingly advanced capabilities to the Indian military and foreign customers. These include remote weapon stations (RWSs), a micro-missile launcher, a naval counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UASs), and artificial-intelligence (AI)-based shooting ranges.
To facilitate the diversification of its product portfolio, Zen Technologies has recently acquired several companies. These firms include loitering munitions specialist Tisa Aerospace, unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) company Bhairav Robotics, naval training solutions company Anawave Systems, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) propulsion system producer Vector Technics, and RWS specialist AI Turing.
Zen Technologies also announced in December 2025 that it had received a contract worth INR1.2 billion (USD13 million) from the Indian Ministry of Defence (MoD) to set up the country's first combat training node (CTN) at an infantry school in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh.
According to the company, the CTN will consist of more than 60 simulators including live-virtual-constructive training and live firing-range solutions for combat training. The CTN is intended to support the training of infantry personnel for marksmanship, urban combat, counter-insurgency/counter-terrorism, counter-drone response, and other missions.
A spokesperson for Zen Technologies told Janes in December 2025 that the company has developed and delivered several training and simulation systems to the Indian military. One of the most recent of these deliveries include 15 Bofors L/70 anti-aircraft gun simulators.
