I/ITSEC 25: 4C Strategies expands Exonaut usage, highlights new contracts

4C Strategies is expanding the use of its Exonaut exercise planning and management software into the simulation space, demonstrated with a series of integrated demonstrations at the 2025 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference 2025 (I/ITSEC 25) held in Orlando from 1 to 4 December.
The aim of the demonstration is to show how “multidomain training can be seamlessly connected through open standards, shared data, and integrated technologies”, according to pre-show briefing documents from 4C. It will demonstrate how Exonaut can “provide the digital backbone for federated training”.
Partners in the demonstration are French company Masa, which produces the widely used Sword constructive simulation; UK company Plexsys, producers of the Advanced Simulation Combat Operations Trainer (ASCOT 7) multidomain synthetic environment generator; OneArc, the new wholly owned subsidiary of BAE Systems encompassing Bohemia Interactive Systems and Pitch, producers of Virtual Battle Space 4 (VBS4), and pRTI respectively; SimCentric, with its SAF-Foresight range safety software and SAF-Fires indirect fire training application; live tactical engagement simulation system (TESS) provider Ravenswood; and Ansett, with its flight simulators.
The demonstration begins before any simulation goes live. Within Exonaut's artificial intelligence (AI) studio, planners define training objectives, map entities, and generate main event list/main incident list (MEL/MIL) events using intelligent subject-matter expert (SME) agents. These AI tools leverage context and prior knowledge to automatically populate scenarios.
Scenario and tasking data are then shared with partner systems, either directly or via Pitch's pRTI. This ensures all federated simulations operate from the same training context and mission objectives. SAF-Foresight validates the exercise design, checking safety arcs, range layouts, and environmental constraints before execution, ensuring compliance and safety.
