Polish small-arms manufacturer Fabryka Broni told Janes in December 2025 that it expects to deliver the first batch of its Grot A3 assault rifles to the Polish Army in June 2026.

The delivery timeline established at the Grotowisko small-arms conference in June 2024, where the Fabryka Broni revealed the Grot A3, was no more specific than a first batch in 2026. During the Polish Army individual equipment conference (called Szpejowisko 2.0) on 11 December, Seweryn Figurski, chairman of the board at Fabryka Broni “Łucznik” Radom, confirmed to Janes the June 2026 date, adding that the standard Grot A3 rifles have already passed type trials.

The 10.5 inch short-barrelled variant will be upgraded to the A3 variant and is expected to be tested in the first quarter of 2026, Figurski said, adding that further orders are expected, in line with approved procurement plans.

Figurski said there was an intention to purchase some Grot carbines in a bullpup configuration. This is one of the first such explicit declarations from the Polish Army, which until now has viewed bullpup rifles with scepticism. Figurski added that before orders can begin, the bullpup version must undergo additional testing. Although no explicit declarations were made, Janes understands that the 6th Airborne Brigade has been advocating for the Grots in this configuration for years. Another natural recipient of bullpup Grots, besides paratroopers, could be soldiers of the 25th Air Cavalry Brigade.
