Qatar has received from NHIndustries (NHI) all of the NH90 Tactical Transport Helicopter (TTH) rotorcraft ordered for USD2.8 billion in March 2018.

President of NHI and head of the NH90 Programme at Airbus Helicopters Axel Aloccio told Janes and other defence media on 16 December that TTH deliveries to the emirate had now been concluded.

“We have delivered the last TTH to Qatar,” Aloccio said.

Qatar ordered 16 TTH and 12 NATO Frigate Helicopter (NFH)-variant NH90s, with deliveries of the NFHs ongoing.

While other international NH90 customers received their early helicopters in an initial configuration to be retrofitted at a later date, all of Qatar's are being delivered in their final operating capability. As such, the country has avoided the availability issues that have dogged other users.
