Edge, Adani sign partnership agreement

The United Arab Emirates' (UAE's) Edge Group has signed an agreement with India's Adani Defence and Aerospace to collaborate on development, production, and marketing activities.

A joint statement by the companies on 11 June said they will explore establishing in India and UAE facilities to support joint research and development, production, and maintenance for defence and aerospace sectors.

The statement said these facilities would support Indian and UAE markets as well as wider export opportunities in Southeast Asia and other regions.

The companies said they will evaluate opportunities for such co-operation and investment across their respective product portfolios including missiles and weapons, air defence, unmanned aircraft systems (UASs), counter-UAS, loitering munitions, unmanned ground vehicles, electronic warfare, and cyber.

Neither Edge nor Adani had responded to Janes questions about the agreement at the time of publication.
