The Peruvian Air Force (FAP) received the second of two Beechcraft King Air 360C aircraft from Textron Aviation on 1 August, according to a 2 August announcement by the Peruvian Ministry of Defence.
The aircraft will be utilised for medical evacuation operations, and will deliver supplies to “isolated communities along the coast, Andes, and Amazon”, the Ministry of Defence said. The transfer ceremony took place at Textron Aviation facilities in Wichita, Kansas. Upon arrival in Callao, Peru, the aircraft will be assigned to Aerial Group No 8.
During the transfer ceremony, FAP Commander General Carlos Enrique Chávez Cateriano said the first aircraft, delivered in late 2024, has already performed missions that have “saved over 85 lives”.
The transfer completes the acquisition programme. The Ministry of Defence noted that the two aircraft were “directly acquired from the manufacturer without third parties”.
