Singapore Airshow 2026: ST Engineering debuts EagleStrike loitering munition

ST Engineering has unveiled a new vehicle-deployed loitering munition system known as the EagleStrike.

The system has undergone several offshore trials, but it is being shown for the first time at Singapore Airshow 2026 alongside a new suite of soldier‑class unmanned systems.

In response to questions from Janes at the show, Jackson Tean, from ST Engineering's International Business unit, said that the munition has now reached technology readiness level (TRL) 7 and is progressing through prototype refinement.

It has been designed as a precision, beyond-line‑of‑sight (BLOS) loitering system intended for high‑value targets such as armoured vehicles, he added.

The EagleStrike features a range of 20 km with up to 30 minutes of loitering time and a speed of 30 m/s, giving mounted units a compact strike capability with meaningful stand-off distances.

It carries a shaped charge warhead optimised for effects against soft‑skinned and lightly armoured vehicles.

A combined electro-optic/infrared (EO/IR) sensor payload supports search, identification, and strike functions across varied terrain, including cluttered or low‑light urban areas.

Tean said the system has undergone multiple flight trials since early 2025, all conducted outside Singapore at an undisclosed location.

A typical 4×4 platform is able to host up to 16 rounds of the EagleStrike loitering munition, depending on how it is integrated.

For now, EagleStrike remains a prototype with no launch customer yet announced, but ST Engineering says it is pushing the system steadily towards production readiness.
