The Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) signed a large-volume framework agreement with Rheinmetall on 30 January worth millions of euros for the supply of ammunition for the Danish Armed Forces, DALO and Rheinmetall have announced.
The seven-year agreement covers the supply of ammunition including 30 mm and 35 mm rounds for infantry fighting vehicles and self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, 120 mm rounds for main battle tanks, and 155 mm ammunition for artillery. The agreement also covers training ammunition, DALO said on its website on 30 January.
Rheinmetall announced the first call-offs from the framework agreement in a press release on 2 February. The first orders for medium-calibre ammunition include various 30×173 mm and 35×228 mm rounds in the high five-digit range valued in the low three-digit million euro range. Rheinmetall will also supply over 1,000 rounds of kinetic energy tank ammunition valued in the high single-digit million euro range.
