A CV9030NL infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) whose active protection system (APS) has been tested and qualified was displayed at the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2025 exhibition held in London from 9 to 12 September. BAE Systems HĂ€gglunds managing director Tommy Gustafsson-Rask told Janes that the CV90 had emerged from the testing “with scratches but no holes”.

BAE Systems HĂ€gglunds CV90 director Tarkan Turkan told Janes that the vehicle had undergone three days of qualification testing of its Iron Fist–Light Decoupled (IF-LD) APS and that it had successfully protected it by slicing incoming projectiles rather than detonating their warheads, thus obviating damage from their explosive payloads.

Asked if the results of testing the CV9030NL's IF-LD could be used by other countries procuring the IFV to qualify their APS, he told Janes that it was up to each country but that it was expensive.
