France has ordered 7,000 PT6T Zetros six tonne 6×6 logistic trucks from Arquus and Daimler Truck, the two companies announced in a press release on 15 January. The vehicles are scheduled to be produced and delivered for over 10 years.

The programme aims to modernise the French Army's logistics and tactical capabilities for high-intensity operations, with Zetros using Daimler Truck's 6×6 chassis and Arquus providing equipment, in-service support, and maintenance, as well as life-cycle support throughout France.

Daimler Truck will produce the basic vehicles at its sites in Wörth am Rhein, Germany, and Molsheim (Alsace), France. Arquus will provide militarisation, systems integration, protected cabs, customer acceptance, support, and maintenance at its facilities in Limoges, Garchizy, and Saint-Nazaire, France. Daimler Truck France CEO Ulrich Loebich said, “Our sites in Wörth am Rhein, Germany, and Molsheim, France, ensure fast and reliable series production as well as short distances to Arquus sites and to the customer.”

Over 15,000 Zetros trucks are in service in countries such as Canada, Lithuania, and Ukraine, according to Arquus CEO Emmanuel Levacher.

Zetros can be configured in armoured or unarmoured versions for troop transport or logistics, with a crew of two.
