The Senegalese Army displayed Chinese-made CS/VN3 4×4 light armoured vehicles for the first time on 4 April, when eight were seen towards the rear of its contingent in the television coverage of the country's annual Independence Day parade.

Although not seen clearly, a ninth CS/VN3 probably led a contingent of the reconnaissance derivative of the vehicle, which has a turret with a 30 mm main gun. The reconnaissance variant has been identified as the CS/VN3C but does not look exactly like the vehicles displayed with that name in China. The army displayed these for the first time in the 2023 parade and there was no parade in 2024 due to the presidential election the previous month.

Senegal's National Gendarmerie also operates the CS/VN3 and the reconnaissance derivative. Its contingent in this year's parade included several Serbian-made Miloš 4×4 armoured vehicles for the first time. The Serbian media reported in May 2023 that the Senegalese gendarmerie had ordered 10 Miloš vehicles.
