The United Arab Emirates' (UAE's) Edge Group announced on 3 February 2026 that its subsidiary Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) has launched Al Noukhitha (P 6202), the first Al Dorra (Falaj 3)-class corvette for Kuwait's Ministry of Defense (MoD).
Al Noukhitha is the first of eight Falaj 3 vessels for the Kuwait Naval Force. Edge says the Falaj-3 class is 62.7 m long, displaces 641 tonnes, has a top speed of 25 kt, and a range of 2,000 n miles at 16 kt.
It released a video on 3 February 2026 showing Al Noukhitha armed with four MBDA Exocet MM40 Block 3 anti-ship missiles, two Halcon/LIG Nex1 Low-Cost Guided Imaging Rocket (LOGIR) missile launchers, a Leonardo 76 mm/62 Super Rapid main gun, two Electro Optic Systems (EOS) R400-M remote weapon stations, eight cells for MBDA VL MICA surface-to-air missiles, and two Rheinmetall Multi Ammunition Soft-kill System (MASS) 32-barrelled 81 mm trainable launchers.
The Kuwaiti vessels are also expected to be armed with a Raytheon Mk 49 21-cell launcher for RIM-116C Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) Block II surface-to-air missiles but Al Noukhitha's has not been fitted yet.
The class is expected to have a Leonardo Kronos 3D G-band radar for air and surface search, two Hensoldt SharpEye I-band radars for surface search and navigation, and a Leonardo NA-30S Mk 2 fire-control radar.
